What is a Hand Therapist?
Winnie Sin and Arash Zoheri are Occupational Therapists that have completed their advanced certification in hand therapy.
Winnie has worked with various traumatic, surgical, activity related and other hand injuries Winnie has extensive expertise in hangs, including working closely with the specialists in the Hand Clinic at Vancouver General Hospital. She is committed to exceptional hand therapy and personalized patient care.
Arash Zoheri is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist with over 10 years of clinical experience, including more than six years specializing in hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation. He has extensive experience in hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation, including post-operative care, fracture and tendon rehabilitation, orthotic and splint fabrication, scar and edema management, and restoring strength, mobility, and function. He believes that successful rehabilitation is not simply about improving movement or strength—it is about helping people get back to doing the things that matter
most to them.
How can a Certified Hand Therapist help with my injury?
As a Certified Hand Wherapist, Winnie and Arash will evaluate and identify any musculoskeletal problem relative to the upper extremities. They can effectively treat and rehabilitate patients requiring postoperative treatment, return to work protocols as well as industry consultation. In addition to manual treatment techniques and the use of modalities, Winnie and Arash are also able to provide your patients with custom splints. Winnie specifically may include quality leather working splints, cosmetic prostheses assessment and referrals as well as pressure garment measurement and fitting. Most of these custom splints are covered with a doctor’s referral under extended health plans.
