Our pelvic health physiotherapists have many years of experience and training from around the world and are continuously updating their skills.
Bladder and Bowel Conditions
Whether leakage, urgency, pain, frequency, anal-sphincter injury, constipation, or post-surgery, bladder and bowel conditions can be embarassing and debilitating for many. Physiotherapy has been shown to be a first-line reccomended treatment across the world for many of these conditions with a plethora of research to support it and show it's effectiveness. Our pelvic health physiotherapists can help you resolve and manage these conditions in a holistic, sensitive and individualized manner.
Pelvic/Abdominal Pain & Pelvic Prolapse
Pelvic Pain: Pelvic health physiotherapy is well suited to helping treat and manage many pelvic and abdominal pain conditions such as endometriosis, pudendal neuralgia, vulvar pain conditions such as vulvodynia, and dermatological conditions such as lichens sclerosis.
Pelvic Prolapse: Research has shown that many women will experience pelvic organ prolapse in their lifetime. Physiotherapy treatment for pelvic organ prolapse is well-researched and scientifically supported. It can help improve your symptoms and get you back to what you love. There is also the option of vaginal pessarys which can be fit by one of our pelvic health physiotherapists if appropriate.
Menopause
The perimenopause and menopause periods can bring on many symptoms, including many involving the pelvic floor and structures around it. This is due to the high number of estrogen receptors in the pelvic area which cause changes in the tissues there when estrogen levels change during hormonal fluctuations. Pelvic health physiotherapy can help with some of the common changes and can help provide education and advice on lifestyle during this period of time.
