MRC, BScOT, CHT Arash is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist with over 10 years of clinical experience, including more than six years specializing in hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation. His passion for occupational therapy grew from seeing how injuries and health conditions can affect the everyday activities that are most meaningful to people. Throughout his career, Arash has worked with a wide range of clients across hospital, outpatient, rehabilitation, and sports-related settings, helping individuals return to the activities, work, and lifestyles they value.
Arash completed his Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and holds a Master of Rehabilitation Counseling. He has extensive experience in hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation, including post-operative care, fracture and tendon rehabilitation, orthotic and splint fabrication, scar and edema management, and restoring strength, mobility, and function.
As a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), Arash has developed a particular interest in complex hand and upper-extremity conditions. His approach combines evidence-informed treatment with individualized rehabilitation programs, with an emphasis on education, active participation, and helping each client progress toward their specific goals. He believes that successful rehabilitation is not simply about improving movement or strength—it is about helping people get back to doing the things that matter most to them.
Arash has also had the opportunity to work with individuals ranging from everyday active clients to high-performance athletes. His own appreciation for an active lifestyle gives him a strong understanding of the physical demands involved in returning to sport, recreation, work, and daily activities.
Outside of the clinic, Arash enjoys staying active, discovering new places, and travelling across Canada and around the world. He is always looking for his next adventure—whether that means exploring a new trail, experiencing a different city, or simply finding another reason to stay active.
Arash is excited to bring his experience, passion for hand therapy, and client-centered approach to Hollyburn Physiotherapy and to help each person get back to doing what they love.
