Alexandra Vacca, B.Sc.Kin, MPT.
Alexandra is a Physiotherapist who earned her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia after completing her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University. She has completed additional postgraduate training through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division, with her Level 1 of the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program.
Alex has experience in both public and private healthcare settings, treating individuals of all ages and functional abilities. From helping children return to sport, to helping older adults stay strong, confident and independent, Alex enjoys working with individuals from all walks of life. Her treatment approach combines hands-on manual therapy, individualized exercise prescription, and evidence-informed education to create personalized rehabilitation plans that empower clients to reach their goals.
Prior to becoming a Physiotherapist, Alex worked as a Registered Kinesiologist at McMaster University, where she supervised programs at the Physical Activity Centre of Excellence. During this time, she gained extensive experience working with older adults and individuals managing cancer, cardiac conditions, spinal cord injuries, and multiple sclerosis.
Originally from Ontario, Alex spent time working in the Canadian Rocky Mountains before relocating to Vancouver, where she developed a strong appreciation for the outdoors. She enjoys summiting mountains, backcountry hiking, weightlifting, climbing, and running. Alex brings her passion for movement into her Physiotherapy practice and is dedicated to helping clients return to the activities they love.
