Francesca Ruddick B.Sc., M.Sc. (PT), MCPA, MCSP, MSPA, Partner
Francesca Ruddick graduated from the University of Toronto Masters of Physical Therapy program in 2015. Prior to that she completed a BScH and spent a year in research at the Queen’s pelvic floor rehabilitation laboratory. Francesca spent the next four years practicing clinically in London, England, progressing her skills in pelvic health as a Senior Physiotherapist at University College London Hospital, The Royal London Hospital and in community health. She also worked privately, splitting her time between orthopaedic, sport and pelvic health patients while also teaching rehabilitation Pilates. Francesca spent the next three years adventuring in South East Asia while working in Singapore before returning to West Vancouver where she grew up, to work at Hollyburn Physiotherapy clinic.
Francesca enjoys pursuing a varied career in orthopaedics as well as in pelvic health. She combines her skills to provide holistic treatment and is passionate about helping people understand and listen to their bodies. She has taken a variety of post-graduate courses including numerous pelvic health and manual therapy courses, acupuncture (not currently practicing), visceral mobilization, TMJ disorders, sports related courses and training in mat, reformer, pre and post-natal Pilates.
Francesca has also been a physiotherapist at the 2025 and 2017 Invictus Games, the 2016 BC Winter Games and as team physio a Football Club and for the elite Right to Dream football team (Ghana). An athlete herself, she has turned her love for field hockey into a varsity career, raced multiple Ironman triathlons, ultramarathons and more recently has been trying her hand at polo. She understands, first-hand, the challenges athletes of all ages and levels face when dealing with injury.
Francesca also has over 10 years of experience and extensive training in pelvic health physiotherapy including:
*incontinence (urinary and faecal), *colorectal conditions (such as constipation *pelvic organ prolapse *pelvic and abdominal pain syndromes *sexual dysfunction *overactive bladder *post-gynaecological surgery rehabilitation *post-prostatectomy rehabilitation *obstetric conditions such as pelvic girdle pain, *diastasis recti and *breastfeeding conditions such as blocked ducts and mastitis.
As a Mom of two, she appreciates the intricacies and physical challenges of parenthood and is passionate about helping parents and their children at all stages of family-life.
